We've all been there

Have you ever had one of those days? One of those weeks? One of those months?

If you haven't, you probably aren't human.

Like you haven't had time to go to the gym in a few weeks and you can tell your jeans are fitting a little tighter than they used to?

We've all been there

You are cramming to finish school or work assignments and look like you got hit by a truck the next morning?

We've all been there

Not feeling attractive or that your significant other is losing interest. But they really aren't it is just your mind playing tricks on you and making you think the worst like it always does.

We've all been there

Have you ever had one of those days that you just don't even feel like yourself. You look in the mirror and think, "Who is she?"

Yea, we've all been there.

Us as women are intimidated by other women. We look around everyday and think that the women around us have it together because their hair is perfect and their make up isn't smudged from crying because you're stressed or wiping the sleep from your eyes. But we never think that she's been in my shoes before.

Like I sais, WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE. We have all had our great days when our hair looks great, we don't get stuck in traffic, and we remember our goals for that day. But its on the days that we are struggling that we forget that this is just a rough spot in our wonderful life. There is more to life than just that ONE bad day, but somehow that one bad day can snowball into a bad week and so on. It is our job as women to lift each other up and encourage each other. So the next time you are having a great day with a great outlook on life and your day, share that positively to the woman who standing beside you with panic and stress in her eyes. It could change her day. Just think, if every woman decided to show positivity towards each other instead of competition, the world would probably change. Be a motivator and give life to others, don't suck it out of the people around you. Every woman has had one of Those Days. And every other woman has the power to help her through it.

Because after all, we've all been there.

A Letter to Heaven

An update from September 21, 2014:

So its been about 3 years and a month since I last hugged your neck. Life is getting harder, I'm growing up and dang I would do anything to call you up and talk to you. You always knew what to say. Here's whats going on in my life that I wish you were here to see.

I'm at school to get my business degree, I love the thought of being in the business world. I'm a BeautiControl consultant. I know you would love it! I could show you all the products and give you foot rubs.

Now about Josh…… I'm just so frustrated that you never got to meet him. I know you would have loved him. He's everything I've ever wanted. Sometimes when I miss you & start to cry I tell him I wish he could have met you, but he always tell me "I did, I see her everyday in you." He's tall, muscular, has the most beautiful eyes. He has a beard, which looks good on him only when he keeps it trimmed. He looks like a grizzly man when he lets it go. I know you would have gotten on to him when it started getting out of hand. He could make you laugh so easy! I wish you could have met him. You would have loved him to pieces.

I got a cat, she's two years old and her name is Remi. I'm pretty sure I got my cat obsession from you! I act like Remi is my child. You would like her she gets kinda crazy sometimes and runs like a bullet through the house.

I just dyed my hair dark brown… It was quite the change. I know it would have been a shock to you, but just like everyone else we are getting used to it and it is starting to fade into a nice golden brown where my highlights were.

I stopped biting my nails!! Finally after all those years of putting pepper nail polish on my nails, its worked :)

Sometimes I just feel like you are on a very long trip and will be back in a few weeks… but I know thats not happening. I look at your picture everyday & I wear your fingerprint around my neck also. I have some of the best friends that you would love too! Tonight is one of those nights that I wish I could rewind to eating snacks and watching That So Raven with you and laughing til our stomachs hurt.

You had the biggest heart in the world. I miss you so much. Life just isn't the same without you here Me-Me. I don't want another holiday without you. It's always like something huge is missing, thats because it is. I know you wouldn't want me to be sad right now, but I know you get sad too. I know you wish you were back here with us. You added a spark to everyone's life that you touched. I'm so lucky to be your grand daughter.

I'll ALWAYS be your brown eyed angel. I'll see you soon.

I love you,
Tay

Late Night Thoughts-Love

Have you ever just stopped and thought how someone can make you so happy??

Like you think about this person when you wake up & you see little things throughout the day that make you think of them. This person means so much to you, that you would go out of your way to make them happy or help them out.

You hear a song and start singing it to yourself in the car, but wish you could be singing it to that one person that makes you happy because everything the song is saying is what you would say to them.

You stop to get lunch and you order your food and then see their favorite thing on the menu & wish they were there to share that 35 minutes with you in the middle of the day.

You're going down the interstate and look over and see an elderly couple going 5 mph under the speed limit hoping you can be that happy and content with someone for so long.

It is just so crazy how much you can care about one person and it is even more crazy that for a time in your life never knew existed and then one day they walk into your life and as time goes on, you couldn't imagine what your life would be like without them in it.

I  know it all sounds gushy and romantic, but who doesn't what someone to share their days with, their ups, their downs, smiles, and tears with? It is comforting to know that someone is there for you and cares about the way you feel. I guess it is just a great feeling to have someone to care about you and want you to be happy.

I love being in love and I love loving someone back.

Fall Time

Last weekend Josh & I went to the mountains just on the outskirts of Charlottesville. On our way home we stopped by The Apple Shed, a locally owned & operated company that specializes in selling apples, apple butters, fresh produce, & so on. We picked a peck of Gala apples, pumpkin butter, apple butter, sweet potato butter, & Josh got molasses(his favorite). As soon as we got in the car we opened them all and tried them. We loved the pumpkin butter so much, I ran in a got 2 more!! Today as a little pick-me-up I had the sweet potato butter on whole grain bread! To die for!

If you are ever on highway 29 headed towards Charlottesville, stop at the Apple Shed! Great service & even better treats!
Well, I will start off by saying the highlight of my day is starting this blog. I was sitting at a table with my friend and we came across someone with a blog & the thought of starting one sounded exciting. So we picked out a name & here I am now, posting my first blog article.

I chose the name "Coffee&Curls" because I have a huge love for coffee and so do most of the people close my heart. And curls because I have curly hair & there is something about curling your hair that gives a woman a sense of empowerment and sophistication.

Thank you A.S. & K.J. for inspiring me to start this blog!
